This project replaced an existing online courses website, built with WordPress. The system was slow, non-responsive and very difficult for the company to update with additional course material.
Based on the companies requirements, and careful research of online learning platforms, I proposed the use of a CMS platform provided by Thinkific and designed for online courses.
I designed the site with a clean modern feel, using PHP Liquid template language. It features simple UI to help focus on the content and make the site easy to navigate.
I integrated the companies CRM system using Zapier for the API links. All relevant student data is pulled across which enables the company to create more tailored emarketing. I was able to use the data to create a system of automated course reminder emails, based on the progress of the student. This helps to keep students on track with their learning goals.
